最近，Flare Time Series Oracle v2在 Flare 主网上线，引入了对 FTSO 奖励的更改。

- Trial: Reward allocation remains unchanged – Phase Complete
- Beta: Rewards are split 50/50 between v1 and v2 data providers – In Progress
- Deprecation: V1 will be deprecated, meaning only v2 data providers receive rewards – 21 November
FTSOv2 will be transitioning from the Beta phase to Deprecation phase on November 21, 2024. During this phase, the Flare Foundation will update the Inflation contract so that only v2 data providers will receive rewards, while delegators will only earn rewards by delegating to v2 data providers.

The FTSOv2 rewards epoch operates on a 3.5-day cycle. After the epoch ends, rewards are calculated and published. Data providers then sign the rewards (specifically the Merkle root), which may take a few days until 50% of the weight of data providers have signed. Once complete, rewards become claimable.
Rewards during Deprecation phase
- 50% of FTSO rewards will be offset by a week, meaning v2 rewards for the next two epochs will be reduced by 50%.
- Once these two epochs have ended, v2 will return to 100% rewards on November 28.
- Rewards will be claimable a few days after the 28th, until 50% of the weight of data providers have signed.
Also, as part of preparing for a smooth transition, a few core contracts (Inflation, InflationAllocation, Supply) need to be updated. These contracts will be updated to a newer version that is well tested and running on Songbird for more than a year. This will ensure a steady distribution of rewards during the final phase before FTSOv1 is deprecated on Flare.
Next steps for data providers and delegators
As mentioned, delegators should ensure that they are delegating to data providers supporting FTSOv2 to be eligible for delegation rewards. Any providers only supporting FTSOv1 must transition to v2 as soon as possible to receive rewards.
